Ironbark Outfitters is a family run outfit specialising in fully guided archery water buffalo hunts in the Northern Territory of Australia. We have exclusive rights to operate on a huge tract of private land spanning nearly one million acres.

The property consists of one main river system with many creeks, tributaries and billabongs throughout. Wide open flood plains mixed with pockets of dense forest offer a great habitat for water buffalo, as well as other animals such as scrub bulls, pigs, wild horses, wild dogs and a variety of native marsupials, reptiles, birds and fish.

In 2017, Ironbark Outfitters took over the hunting rights of our property from a good friend who had held the rights for the preceding 11 years. Each year, on average 8-12 archers hunt the property over a two-month span. Success rates continue at 100%, with the average buffalo taken scoring 95 SCI. Each season, bulls scoring 100+ SCI are taken. 

Tyler Chubb, the owner of Ironbark Outfitters, is an avid outdoorsman. He grew up hunting, fishing and trapping in Canada from a young age. Tyler began bowhunting when he was just 11 years old, meaning he has over 22 years of experience under his belt. Bowhunting continues to be his greatest passion to this day.  

In 2022, Tyler became a citizen of Australia. When not guiding or hunting for himself, he is at home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with his wife, Kyla, and newborn twins, Austen and Ava.
